I was wondering, is it possible to skip the 1/8″ female (headphone extension) and just cut and solder the 1/8&quot; male (headphone to RCA) onto the Panel-Mount Audio Jack. 

Would that work? or is it necessary to solder a female audio cable to the audio jack.]]></description>
